The village of Deiá and La Residencia Hotel

I took some time off today and visited (again) one of the prettiest villages of Mallorca: Deiá.

Deiá is situated between the sea and the Tramuntan mountains and you can get there either through Sollér or Valldemossa.

Deiá was once residence of famous artists, poets and writers, as Robert Graves(1895-1985), and it has become today a well-stablished artist community.

The village has only 600 inhabitants, who are proud of their gorgeous home and of the beautiful hotels situated there.

One of the prettiest hotels I have ever visited (just for a coffee and cake!) is La Residencia. You will not find anywhere else something like La Residencia; it is charming, luxurious and yet relaxed, romantic, totally original and has a great service. If you can not afford staying at the hotel, just go for a coffee and cake. It is totally worth it and you will not regret any penny spent there!

Check out their website and just be inspired by the atmosphere. Have fun!
