Welcome to one of the prettiest times of Mallorca: the time when almond trees start to blossom.
On Mallorca, there are around 5 million almond trees which are spread over 24.000 hectares throughout the island.
There are about 300 types of almond trees which can have white or pink flowers.
Almond trees usually start to blossom from end of January until beginning of March.
It is such a delightful and magic moment when you see those fields covered with so many trees which are ready to show you their most beautiful present, their flowers.

Sweet Almond Oil used as carrier Oil in Aromatherapy
Sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalis var. dulcis) is one of the most used carrier oils in Aromatherapy, since it has a fine texture and is easily absorbed by the skin. Sweet almond oil is obtained by cold pressing and contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E.
It protects and softens the skin, soothes inflammation and calms irritation caused by eczema.
